Historic Rallying
Historic Rallying is an exciting and entertaining way to use your classic car for Motorsport, driving tests and social activities. Historic rallying aims to preserve a selection of Historic vehicles that had competed on famous rallies of the past.
Historic rallying events are varied, ranging from the single venue stage rally, to the week (or longer) continental events.
We fully understand the rigours of competing over longer distances with an older car and can carry out full or partial preparation including shell preparation, suspension, steering, electrical, and brake overhaul or upgrade.
Whilst there are some modern racing categories that seem to suffer from the burdens imposed by stringent rules, sponsorship requirements and escalating tyre and aerodynamic restrictions, Historic Motorsport can offer a refreshing alternative: An opportunity to indulge in genuine close racing, with cherished historic cars in true period specification.
Richard Thorne Motorsport has prepared many successful historic rally cars and can accommodate any make and model of car. Richard has been rallying for over 30 years and has introduced many complete novices to this exciting world of historic rallying and would be delighted to chat to potential competitors on how to get started.
